If you'd like to build your own business website, check out these suggestions. These are meant for business owners who want to create their own website but don't have a lot of time or large budget. If you sell any product or service, please take a look at Shopify first (see video under "Misc. instructional videos"). There's also an option to sell via Facebook.
Many of these website builders will include the fee to rent your "www" domain in their monthly platform fee. If you already have a domain, you can still use a website builder and connect it to your domain. There are many tutorials out there to walk you through that process. Call the chamber at 608-323-2319 if you have trouble with this step. It's not recommended to use a free tool because you tend to have less options and domains will look like www.websitebuilder.mybusinessname.com which isn't as professional as paying for your own domain that people can easily remember.

We will consider applications from existing women-owned businesses looking to expand, but preference is given to applicants in the start-up phase. Eligible counties include: Buffalo, Clark, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, St. Croix, and Trempealeau. In addition to the four $2,000 grants, the grant recipients will receive a $250 print credit from Ambient Inks- generously donated by the Chippewa Valley-based company. |
